Tyler went in for his 9th PET scan on Friday April 8th. He said it went well. We read the results of the MRI and PET later that night. The results were mixed. Some of the tumors shrunk and some of them grew. Tyler has been on Chemotherapy for 12 weeks (3 months).
We visited with Tyler's doctor this morning. We were able to see the PET scan and honestly it didn't look great. The tumor on Tyler's upper glute was lit up. So much of his upper glute is now tumor. It has gotten bigger in the last 3 months. And he has innumerable tumors in his lungs. Some have gotten bigger and some smaller. How does that happen??
Tyler's doctor thinks it would be best to stop Chemotherapy for a week or two and focus on radiating Tyler's upper glute. Then after radiation he can resume chemotherapy.. and possibly switch up the chemo meds. We asked about using radiation on Tyler's lungs, but it would do too much damage.
Thankfully the tumor on Tyler's sacral nerves isn't getting any bigger. And Tyler can walk again. That is good news. God is still Great. And He has a perfect plan for each of us. We just have to trust Him.
Thank you so much for taking the time and care to provide us with these updates. What a wonderful picture! Did you guys take a class in awesome selfie picture taking? Because it’s really good. Lynn and I are so happy that Tyler is able to walk. That is a blessing. We continue in our humble prayers for Tyler, and we do trust in God.
